Point and Shoot...

After only owning a Diana and Polaroid for years, it's time for me to finally buy a new digital camera. I'm excited for what it will mean for The Prippy Handbook, and I'm thrilled to share more pics of my own with you.

But I know VERY little about cameras and would love any advice!

Please... HELP!

I could not live without my digital camera! I use it to document so much! All the better when you get one that records video too!

Hey Tara! In regard to the digital camera, are you looking for a high-quality/professional option, something like the Canon Rebel, or something smaller and portable, more along the lines of the Canon PowerShot? I prefer Canon to Nikon, but that's just me.

Hey Allison!

Thanks for the response - much appreciated! I'm looking for something in between a high-quality and a PowerShot... hopefully there is a camera out there like that! Any recs or thoughts would be super on Canons.

so you want a P&S model? 1st choice is physical. the slim/uniform models, are quite good for 85% of shots, but if you want extra zoom you'll want something w/ a bigger optical lens; which obviously adds to the bulk(not as pocket friendly).

I just got the Cannon Powershot SD1400IS for a small P&S. I upgraded from my last Cannon P&S that I loved. Sounds like you are looking for something a little smaller, but I am also looking at the Nikon D60 SLR or D90 SLR for my business. Cannon Rebel is supposed to be great as well.

Good luck in the camera search!
