Summer... And F. Scott Fitzgerald

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Our book club just re-read The Great Gatsby again - and I was breathless with what a gorgeous writer F.Scott F was - and Gatsby's search for that "green orgiastic light" across the bay. Life does begin over again with the summer and we all get second chances all over again

The Great Gatsby is one of my go-to summer books, along with The Sun Also Rises and anything by Pat Conroy. I've been reading Gatsby on my roof each evening, great way to end the day.
