Painted to Perfection... Congress Hall

I'm in love with this painting by Robert Beck for so many reasons...

One big reason being that it depicts the new venue (long story) for our wedding in Cape May, NJ.

Congress Hall... here we come!

Oohh... I can't wait to see how you transform the space for your wedding! So exciting!

Any and all ideas welcome! Seriously!

Especially regarding the color palette... right now, considering just classic black and white (a la Truman) or perhaps a color to use for accents. Thoughts?

I love the style of the painting - would make a lovely wedding present! I think whatever you do for your wedding, it will be absolutely stunning. I love the idea of the B&W - Truman seems so fitting! The wall color is so striking, paired with the black and white already in the room, it could really be amazing. Can't wait to hear more about your wedding plans!

Don't despair over changes in venue. Dave and I originally planned to have our wedding in Cooperstown (we were thinking a BIG wedding at the Fenimore Art Museum, then the Otesaga Resort), but then said screw it and held it at Mohonk Mountain House. The planner at Mohonk changed our date a million times because she said she needed to accomodate for "big" weddings (lame), so we had our wedding on a Thursday afternoon and it turned out perfect! Good luck, darling, you are going to be a truly beautiful bride!

With the black and white floor and the pale green walls, it's screaming for a vibrant pink to me!

What a beautiful venue for your wedding!

We had those same seafoam green walls in our living room in London - (and funnily enough the black and white tiles in our kitchen). In the kitchen we had barbie pink walls and in the living room we had purple and silver which might be a nice addition. What a fab place you must be sooo excited!
