Prippy Viewing... Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
The snow is coming down hard here in DC, so I can only imagine that a lot of us East Coasters are in for a possible snow day... although who am I kidding, I'll be at the office tomorrow...
But for those of you who get to stay warm and cozy at home, I recommend watching one of my favorite movies, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day.
Taking place right before WWII, this movie captures love on so many levels and weaves together one day-in-the-life of an aspiring actress/singer caught in a messy love triangle, and the unlikely woman who helps her follow true love and friendship.
The film is visually stunning, incredibly well acted, and very funny. It warms my heart every time I watch it, and I think it would be the perfect movie to watch with a hot chocolate or toddy in hand.

I feel like I started to watch this, but lost interest along the way. Now I want to give it another try. Today would have been a great day for it, too. We've got 7-8" already and it's still piling up!
That's loads of snow so far! Hope you have plenty of supplies :)
The movie is worth watching for the gorgeous clothes and interiors alone... not to mention how cute Lee Pace and Amy Adams are together!
Ye I think you're right about the clothes, the gold, the velvet all so hard to wear but just right here!
Adding to my netflix as we speak!! Hope you had a fun snow day today!
I know, ALW, the colors alone are so rich and gorgeous!
Hint, hint... some of the color combos I'm thinking about for my wedding are definitely reflected in the wardrobe of this film :)
