Wish I Was Here... More Snow

MORE snow is hitting DC around noon, and by the time it's over we're supposed to have 26 inches! This has been the snowiest DC winter in a LONG time.

I'm dreaming of palm trees this morning - before I have to wear Bean Boots the rest of the weekend...

Any good ideas for how to spend a snowy weekend? Would love to hear from you!

Hey, thanks for stopping by bricolage. My cat (ahem) has a human rights/advocacy/silly blog but no comments. Anyway, I did a week's end thingy with vanilla snow ice cream. I may do it. I've survived some real doozies down here since I went to AU in another era. (OK, I'm not that old but I remember the roof caving in on a Superfresh after a humongous snow -- also in a February). What to do. Well, I don't know where you are in DC...I shall investigate. If you've not already done the Whole Foods-Giant-CVS-etc run, wow, you better get going, missy.

BTW, it is World Nutella Day, co-created by Michelle Fabio of Bleeding Espresso in Italy. You might want to check that out if you like chocolatey-hazelnut goodness. Ciao!

World Nutella Day? How could I have missed it! Thank you for bringing this important date to my attention!

Your comment cracked me up! I'm on Capitol Hill, making my grocery a Harris Teeter that thankfully carries good beer (Abita Purple Haze).

Hoping to escape my neighborhood tonight to head to a show at The Black Cat. If it weren't a friend's band, my ambition would be completely lacking!

Enjoy!

I'm so bummed we're getting more snow. I was supposed to be going to NYC this weekend but everything is cancelled. I'll be working on some DIY projects this weekend. If i'm going to be cooped up in my apt I might as well work to make it beautiful right!

Snow here too (Illinois). We stocked up on liquor and baking supplies. Also on the agenda: snowman making, knitting, movies and the Superbowl.

Superbowl weekend is a perfect time to be snowed in! It keeps coming down here... with no signs of stopping.

Your plans sound like heaven! Especially baking...

movies, popcorn, snow fights, photo opportunities - OMG visit the monuments, the reagan memorial (the one with the waterfalls?) is INCREDIBLE when it's all frozen over!
