Honeymoon Help... Fave Destinations
I'm really hoping that you... my fabulous and stylish readers... can help me out. We're starting to look into honeymoons, and with all of the wonderful warm places for us to go in February, I'm starting to feel a bit lost (fun lost, not scary lost!).
We're really hoping to find a luxe spot in warm weather that is within an 8 hour flight of JFK airport in NYC. We'd love to have a direct flight, although a single transfer would be alright, too.
I'm also open to amazing spots in the U.S. (why not?) like the Gasparilla Inn shown above.
In a perfect world, we'd find a spot to relax by beautiful water with some local flavor in a town that we could access for a day trip.
Mexico is high on my list of spots I'd love to go. So far, we've looked at Capella Hotels in Ixtapa and Los Cabos to get our fiesta on...
And the Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Jamaica would make for a fantastic old school experience...
I would LOVE to hear honeymoon ideas from you! What are some of your dream vacation spots? Where did you go on your honeymoon? Let me know!

Appreciating Actor... Nicholas Hoult
About a Boy is one of my all time favorite movies. I've seen it countless times, and I still get emotional thinking about the relationship between young Marcus and the crazy adults that surround him.
Well, the amazingly talented little boy, Nicholas Hoult, who played Marcus is all grown up... and I was thrilled to discover him as Kenny in Tom Ford's hauntingly beautiful film, A Single Man.
After appearing in the fun summer flick X-Men: First Class, I'm excited to see where he will pop up next.
And I'll always remember him as young Marcus singing "Killing Her Softly."

Prippy of Influence... Liz Lambert
The story of a lawyer leaving the big NYC firm for a completely new career is something my law school graduate dreams are made of! Especially when that story involves a labor of love that brings a deteriorating hotel back to spectacular life.
Call it the Prippy Dream... and Liz Lambert is living it. After leaving the dog days of lawyerdom in NYC and Austin, Liz had one of those magical moments where a dream was born.
The dream involved an incredibly run-down hotel populated by exactly the kind of people you'd suspect to be living in a place with rooms for rent by the hour. But what Liz saw was an amazing opportunity that would eventually become Hotel San Jose.
Her hotels, operated by her Bunkhouse Management, exude cool... and I fantasize about hanging out with a cocktail at each eclectic spot someday.
I highly recommend reading this interview with Liz from the great blog Seeds and Fruit... it is super inspiring and I feel like a more hip version of myself just reading it!
Liz... if you ever read this... let's grab a beer! Hell, I'll fly to Texas for it!

Breaking the Bridesmaid's Curse...
Finally... a bridesmaid's dress that I know I'll wear again! It takes an awesomely stylish bride to pull off making her wedding party happy, and my super fantastic friend Katie is just that bride.
She picked designer Amanda Archer for us, and in a stroke of genius, she let us to pick the style dress that we liked the best. And while I'm always happy to wear any dress the bride likes, it sometimes is hard to imagine putting it on again.
I picked the Lovebird, pictured above... and for the first time in my long bridesmaid careers, I put the dress on and it put a smile on my face. It fit perfectly!
I definitely will sport this cute frock in the future! And I absolutely can't wait to wear it as I stand by such an wonderful couple on their special day.

Smells Like Low Tide and Old Money...
Hello from Stone Harbor, NJ!
I've been soaking up the sun at the beach this week, so my apologies for the lack of posts. I really need to get into the whole "Guest Blogger" thing!
Last night I rode my bike... well, my Mom's bike... to the Main Street and did a little shopping. I was so excited to find an Aunt Sadie's candle with the scent "Yacht Club." Clearly, I had to pick it up. It smells amazing!
I was so excited to share this great buy, so I posted something on Facebook. Much to my surprise, Yacht Club is a strong scent trigger for my friends! See some of the hilarious comments below.

Ant Art... FRAMEicariums
Don't ask me why designer ant farms popped into my mind this morning, but I'm pretty stoked that it led to the discovery of artist Hugh Haden.
Hugh Hayden Design and Katie Vitale's FRAMEicariums was an effort to reimagine the crazy ridiculous ant farms of yesteryear.
Cool as can be.
Mommy Chic... Chewbeads
I'm still in a full on wedding boom among my friends, but I'm on the brink of a baby boom over the next year or two... and it is definitely an exciting new chapter for so many of my favorite people.
With baby showers popping up on my social schedule more frequently, I'm always looking out for the perfect gift. Bring on Chewbeads!
After having my (future) nephew in town last week, I remembered the genius silicon beaded necklaces and bracelets I recently saw over at Chic Geek (great blog - check it out!).
Definitely the perfect present for the stylish new mom!
Hope You Had a Blast on the 4th...
