You Say Potato... I Say Can I Screw It Up

Pinterest is dangerous, people! It is making me think I can cook... which based upon past failed attempts (thanks, Nigella Lawson), isn't really my forte.

That being said, screwing up a potato can't be easy, right? So I think this awesomely delicious looking "Hasselback Potato," compliments of Seasaltwithfood, is in my cooking future.

Have you all fallen for Pinterest foodie pics? Any success stories?

I have fallen for these too! And trust, I'm NO cook...however there are some easy fun recipes, usually there's Pillsbury dough involved..(don't judge!) that I have had success with...good luck with the potato! :)

LOL, this post made me laugh. I can't cook. I mean, maybe I could. But considering I burn even toast, I don't know. I've been wanting to take a cooking class. My brother just says to open a cookbook and learn myself. Anyway! Thanks for stopping by my blog, lovely to meet you :) xo, danni

Oh - Fancy That.

Cooking is SO not as easy as opening a cook book. If it was just reading the recipe... then yes to easy. But it isn't. And choppin' an onion is damn hard!

Red pepper pesto = must try. I will risk culinary shame for pesto!

WHAT? You can totally do it, I promise! Also, I LOVE Nigella... when Eric was teeny-tiny and Nigella was on TV, I think he would get confused; he would look at the TV, then at me, and it was like he was trying to figure out how I was holding him AND also on TV. I was definitely flattered :)

As to Pinterest - yes, it is dangerous. But I've had success with some stuff there. Try this recipe -- It's pretty easy and everyone loved it (I had some Junior League ladies over to the farm one night and this was a hit!).

That tart looks insanely delicious! You are like a magician in the kitchen... but I trust you, so I will give this a go after my potato effort (of course, this will all happen when I am off the crutches! a cook on crutches is a disaster waiting to happen, in my book).

And you DEFINITELY look like Nigela! You cook like her, too!
