Amazing Life... Leonora Carrington
Leonora Carrington has been a woman in history who absolutely and completely captivates, inspires, and fascinates me.
Have you heard of her?
She was a famous artist and writer in Europe, and very involved in the Surrealist movement. She fell in love with the dynamic Max Ernst, entangled in the jealous web of Peggy Guggenheim, a player in one of the most fascinating and heartbreaking stories of World War II, and later in life moved to the Mid-West where she has lived a quiet life.
Her story really is captivating and I highly recommend The Lives of the Muses: Nine Women & the Artists They Inspired

Have you noticed there is a BBC radio programme about her tomorrow morning (Sunday 4th - US Independence Day!) at 9 am British time. Should be 4 am New York time.
However, you should be able to receive it anytime for a week after, using their I-player on your computer.
